HEAT & MOISTURE EXCHANGER
Accessories for pulmonary rehabilitation are specially designed for the needs of patients both in hospital and rehabilitation care and receiving nursing care at home.
Patients are either completely or partially incapable of breathing via their larynx, mouth and nose following a laryngectomy or tracheostomy. This is also accompanied by a loss of function of the upper respiratory tract. The accessories specially developed for laryngectomized and tracheostomized patients take on these functions, achieving a considerable improvement in the quality of life.
Heat and moisture exchangers (HMEs) replace certain nasal functions by moistening, warming and filtering breathing air and promoting the pulmonary recovery process.

- With self-opening safety/ suction port in the lid which can be used for suctioning and in case of coughing or blockage acts as a relief valve
